Q: I want to make sure I’m covered under my car warranty, do I have to go to the dealer to be covered for maintenance?

The answer is NO, you can have maintenance services performed at any independent shop and you will not void your warranty. It is your right as a consumer.

 

Q: How often do I really need to have my oil changed?

Be sure to check your owner’s manual as most modern vehicles can go longer than 3 months or 3,000 miles. We can perform a multi-point inspection on your vehicle anytime it comes in for service and give you a better idea of how often you should have your oil changed based on the current condition of your vehicle.

 

Q: How much should I be paying for oil changes?

This depends on the type of oil your vehicle requires. There are generally three types of oil, conventional, synthetic and blends of the two. Ask our friendly and knowledgeable technicians and we will suggest the best oil for your vehicle.

 

Q: How do I know if my vehicle needs to be maintained with synthetic oil changes?

It depends on the oil manufacturers suggestions. Some synthetic oils can go far beyond 3,000 miles. We have a range of synthetic oils that will suit your needs and allow you to go longer between service intervals.

 

Q: Should I keep maintaining my car or buy a new one?

Once we have had a chance to inspect your vehicle, we can give you a general idea of how much you should expect to spend on your vehicle’s maintenance services based on its current condition. You can then compare this to a new monthly car payment.

 

Q: How often should windshield wiper blades be replaced?

San Diego can be tough on wiper blades due to the dry climate. We recommend having them inspected at least twice a year. When you notice cracks in the rubber blade portions of the wipers or if they leave streaks when activated. There are things you can do to extend the life of your wiper blades, such as cleaning them and your windshield with rubbing alcohol.
